Klamath Watershed Partnership - WORKING GROUPS
Lower Sprague - Lower Williamson Working Group
Why do we do field events during watershed assessments?
There are two main reasons we do field events. The first is to help community members and landowners make decisions about natural resource management. We have two kinds of field days that help do this. The first are public field days, designed to give the general public a chance to learn about and get involved with what we're doing. The second are individual land owner visits, which provide an opportunity for landowners to talk with resource management professionals about management practices.
The second reason we do field events is to make sure the scientists working on the assessment have an accurate understanding of on the ground conditions. After all, the assessment is only useful if it gives us good information to work with.
