Klamath Watershed Partnership - PROGRAMS
Watershed Assessments
The Partnership has been awarded $400,000 in grant funding to coordinate watershed assessments and action plans in the Upper Klamath Basin. The funding was awarded by the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, in response to a joint proposal submitted by the Partnership and the Hatfield Upper Basin Working Group.
The Hatfield Group was formed in the early 1990's, and has thirty-three members representing the broadest possible range of interests, including representatives from agriculture, timber, recreation, tribal, governmental and environmental and others. The Group has the three-part mission of ecosystem restoration, drought-proofing, and sustainable economic development.
Klamath Watershed Partnership and the Hatfield Group each have indispensable resources and expertise to bring to the Assessment Project, and we are all extremely enthusiastic about having the chance to show what the people of the Klamath Basin are capable of accomplishing, when they put their minds to it.
